Screen Printing
Screen printing is a classic garment decoration technique. It employs fine mesh screens to apply individual colors from your design. Ink is pressed through the mesh onto fabric and fused through high-temperature bonding.
Who is screen printing suitable for?
The screen printing method is great for you if you want to produce a large amount of the same shirts, for example, for your business, school, organizations, and events. We can print multicolor designs with up to 6 colors.
What are the advantages of screen printing?
- Vibrant Colors: Achieves vibrant and opaque colors, especially on dark or colored backgrounds.
- Durability: Produces long-lasting prints that resist fading and wear.

Direct-to-Garment (DTG)
Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing is a modern and advanced digital printing technique used to apply detailed designs, images, and artwork directly onto fabrics. In DTG printing, specialized inkjet printers are used to deposit water-based inks directly onto the surface of a garment. This method allows for high-resolution, full-color prints with intricate details, gradients, and shading, making it particularly suitable for designs that are complex or photorealistic.
Who is DTG suitable for?
DTG enables order fulfillment on-demand with no minimum order quantity required. If you are looking for individual shirts, full-color photograph prints, or small volume runs, this would be a great choice for you.
What are the advantages of DTG?
- High-Quality Prints: DTG offers excellent print quality with intricate details, gradients, and vibrant colors, suitable for complex designs and photorealistic images.
- No Color Limitations: DTG can reproduce unlimited colors in a single print, allowing for intricate multicolor designs.
- Small Quantity Capability: Economical and efficient for small batch orders or even single custom prints, making it ideal for personalized items.
- Customization: Easily accommodates individualized designs, names, and graphics.
- Soft and Comfortable Feel: The water-based inks used in DTG printing result in a soft and breathable print that doesn't add a heavy texture to the fabric.
- Quick Turnaround: Requires minimal setup time, making it suitable for fast production and tight timelines.
- Reduced Waste: Since it's a digital process, there's less waste compared to traditional methods like screen printing.
- Fine Detail Reproduction: Can accurately reproduce small text, intricate patterns, and delicate elements.
- Environmentally Friendly: Water-based inks used in DTG printing are more environmentally conscious compared to some other printing methods.
- Photo Printing: Well-suited for reproducing high-resolution photographs and artwork.
- No Screen Setup: Unlike screen printing, DTG doesn't require creating screens for each color, reducing initial setup time and costs.
What are the disadvantages of DTG?
- Cost for Large Orders: While cost-effective for small quantities, DTG may become less economical for large production runs compared to traditional methods like screen printing.
- Limited Fabric Types: Some fabrics, particularly dark or heavily textured ones, may not be as suitable for DTG printing due to ink absorption issues.
- White Ink Challenges: Printing on dark fabrics requires an underbase layer of white ink, which can sometimes result in a less vibrant appearance or feel.
- Image Sizing Constraints: The print area is limited by the size of the printer's platen, which might be a constraint for larger designs.

Direct-to-Film (DTF)
DTF printing, or "Direct to Film" printing, is a cutting-edge method for creating vibrant and detailed custom designs on fabrics, particularly clothing. It involves printing a design on a film, transferring it to the fabric with heat and pressure, and is well-suited for dark-colored garments, offering durability and high-quality results.
What is a DTF transfer?
DTF printing is also called Direct-to-Film printing. This is because it prints a design onto a piece of unique transfer film. This design can then be applied to a garment with a heat press to transfer the design.
The transfer film is a stretched polyester film made from a sturdy polyethylene terephthalate (PET). This film is ideal for design transfer because of its high tensile strength and chemical stability.
What are the benefits of DTF printing compared to other print methods?
There are several benefits of using DTF printing to create custom t-shirt designs.
- DTF printing can be used on non-cotton fabrics, such as polyester, which can be harder to print using other printing methods.
- DTF printing is also faster than other printing options. There's no need to let the design sit to dry for long periods like different types of printing.
- The process uses less ink than other methods, with only 40% white ink. So it has a much lower cost.
With less ink usage, a lower cost, and no lengthy drying times, you can diversify your t-shirt print catalog designs much more.
